PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Based on the principle of ultrasonic ranging, the sensor is placed in the active mud pits and Trip Tank to monitor changes of pit level. Consequently, well kick and mud loss can be discovered in time.

PRODUCT FEATURE AND APPLICATION

The ultrasonic level sensor emits a series of ultrasonic pulses from the transducer. Each pulse is reflected by the liquid surface to generate an echo and is received by the transducer. Filtering technology is used to distinguish the true echo from the liquid surface and the acoustic and electrical noise. A false echo generated by a moving agitator blade, the time during which the pulse propagates to the object under test and returns is temperature compensated and converted into a distance.

PRODUCT DETAILS

If the measurement distance is L, the propagation speed of the ultrasonic wave in the medium is V, and the propagation time is T, it can be obtained that: L = V × T / 2, the mud depth Ls can be calculated. The mud pool volume: Vs = mud pool cross-sectional area S × Ls.

All sensors either are EX type or are intrinsically safe. Zone barriers are installed in the Unit. Using well-known brand products at home and abroad, the sensors of mud logging unit have the advantage of technical and performance indicators. At the same time, the service life is long.
