Overview

This immersion sensor is used to monitor drilling-fluid temperature as part of a mud logging data acquisition system. The long stainless-steel probe allows the sensing element to be positioned in the active fluid while the connection head remains above the measurement point.

The protective lower cage helps shield the sensing area from incidental contact while allowing drilling fluid to circulate around it.

Application

Typical use is continuous temperature monitoring in an active mud pit, flow line or other drilling-fluid measurement point. Temperature trends can be recorded together with other wellsite parameters by the mud logging system.

Configuration

Measurement range, output signal, insertion length, process connection and hazardous-area requirements are confirmed for the intended installation before quotation.

Quotation check: legacy specifications may be incomplete or outdated. Confirm operating range, output signal, materials, hazardous-area requirement, documentation, and certification for the current order.
